In 1968 I was 12 years old.  I was taking swimming lessons at Ann Arbor Y.  They were teaching a yoga class there.  I got my mother to get a dispensation for me to join the adult yoga class.  The teacher, Lilly Palmer was one of the first teachers to bring B.K.S Iyengar to the United States. 

Around 1970 I was initiated in Transcendental Meditation.  After the intiation I had little to do with the TM organization.  I meditate daily.  Its a habit.

I believe the moment I identify myself as a Buddhist I cease to be one.  Probably just as well - I am not into reincarnation and deities.

To support my family and myself I work as a film editor in Los Angeles.  I have been nominated for 3 Emmys.

I live in Studio City with a lovely compassionate wife and a caring and growing 16 year old son.
